A $6-million, 9,560-square-feet home in Victoria marks the region's biggest real estate sale of 2009.

The waterfront estate by luxury home specialists Sotheby's International Realty was built by NHL great Russ Courtnall and is on Cadboro Bay in Victoria's Uplands neighbourhood. The home has played host to celebrities from Kiefer Sutherland to Pamela Anderson.

Along with its star-studded history, it boasts impressive amenities: a 1,500-bottle wine cellar and Tuscan-style tasting room, a 12-seat movie theatre, seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a gym, and five fireplaces.

Sotheby's Victoria office has also recently sold a $2-million, 5,212-square-foot home on Sproat Lake, complete with private putting green, dock and boathouse, and just sold a rare undeveloped 1.55-acre waterfront lot adjacent to the Royal Victoria Yacht Club for $3-million.
