Black White and Read Masquerade Gala

Posted by Sothebys International Realty Canada on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at 3:05pm.

Sotheby’s International Realty Canada’s Niagara-on-the-Lake office participated in the sponsorship of the Black White and Read Masquerade Gala held at the Leisureplex in Fort Erie on Saturday, April 10th.  This was a well attended fundraising initiative in support of the Adult Literacy Council. The Adult Literacy Council of Greater Fort Erie (ALC) was founded in November 1978 to provide help in basic reading, writing and math for members of the community who were no longer in the school system. The first tutor training workshop was held in January 1979 and since that time volunteer tutors have been matched with learners on an ongoing basis.
