The property at Denison House comprises approx. 48.99 +/- acres of landbase, 1,173' of shoreline and is professionally landscaped. A beautiful beach rounds out the waterfront experience. Currently managed by NorDev, Denison House as it is now known, stands as a reminder of Elliot Lake’s history, the legacy of the mining industry and the future of the community. While once utilized as an exclusive corporate retreat, today Denison House is available for rent to the public. Visitors, tourists and residents alike can enjoy the splendor of this great House. Denison House has hosted weddings, anniversary parties, family reunions, business meetings and conferences as well as accommodating vacationers seeking that extra something special. Menu selections are carefully chosen and are prepared with the utmost care by a private chef and staff in a fully equipped commercial kitchen. A truly special stay awaits guests at Denison House. Breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding forest can be seen from many of the 15 suites. The spacious suites are tastefully decorated and some include a small sitting area for guests to relax. The Master suite features a fireplace, a king size bed, sitting room and large bathroom complete with a bathtub and separate standup shower area. This suite has 180 view of the lake. The Balcony suite features a sitting area, a king size bed and a large balcony overlooking the lake. The European suite includes a 180 degree view of the lake and forest, a split king bed and a large ensuite bath and a sitting area. The 4 additional suites include views of the lake, queen size beds and ensuite. The Round suite features a double bed and an ensuite. There are two sets of twin suites that have two twin beds in each room with a shared ensuite bath between the two rooms. In addition there are two bedrooms, one with two double beds, a walk out to the flagstone patio and view of the lake and one with two twin beds, a walk out to the flagstone patio and a view of the lake. There is also an additional suite with a queen bed, an ensuite and a view of the lake. Denison House is the perfect setting to make a wedding a truly memorable event and even has a quaint chapel on the main floor. Denison House is well suited to formal or informal business meetings, small conferences or training sessions of up to 30 participants. All forms of audio and visual equipment are available at the facility including overhead projectors, screens, easels and LCD units. Denison House is the perfect location for an anniversary party, family reunion or special birthday gatherings. There are plenty of places for guests to ride their bikes, hike or fish. Guests can dock their boat at Denison House and enjoy a day of cruising.
